I am going through the points mentioned by you.My scenario is as below.We are getting data from flat files.So source system is flat file.The data in the flat file can be quarterly data or monthly data.We are planning to have monthly only.But in case we are unable to collect monthly then we are approaching the data upload quarterly during that quarter only.In this case for that quarter we will not upload upload month wise.In both cases the data for that year has to be summarized value.How can we approach the flat file data source design in this scenario.
