Converting warning message into error message

Hi,

I want to convert warning message I0230 'Different company codes at MaintPlant xxxx and MaintPlanPlant yyyy' to an error message while creating equipment master.

I have already gone through many threads in scn community on similar queries of converting warning message to error message and vice versa but could not find a satisfactory resolution.

Could you please help.
