when you say "copy from old to new", do ypu mean creating an new number conected to the old by reference personnel number?
In that case, you need to make sure that field CPRFN ("Copy Infotype) in table T582A is unticked.
Or do you use a copying tool?
In that case it's not a SAP question, but something the developer or vendor of that tool just needs to implement.
